The Living Room is the hub for Living Communities CIC, run by artists who design workshops, creative activities and events with a strong focus on community engagement.
Our aim is simple to have a space that builds connection, sparks creativity, and empowers people of all ages and from all walks of life.
Meet the Team
We are artists and designers who deliver workshops and events for the community both in East Sussex and London. The Living Room has been born from recognising that there is a need for a welcoming creative space for all ages and levels to experience a variety of creative workshops, art courses and events.
We have many years of experience within the arts, our varied backgrounds include theatre, graphic design, Illustration and fine art. We want to share our skills with you and we are completely invested in sharing our skills with the whole community.
Why we started The Living Room
We believe in the power of creativity to enrich lives and forge connections.
Starting this new venture one belief was that everyone has a creative spark within them and we are here to help ignite that spark!
When Gemma started Living Communities the idea was to give the chance for people in disadvantage backgrounds to experience creative activities through events and projects. Working with community organisations and independent providers, we have delivered many workshops and events over the past two years.
